Dr. Theresa Karras, a native of Illinois, grew up on the North Shore of Chicago. She loves transforming smiles and self-confidence through her expert care. And, she looks forward to helping you on your smile journey.
When she’s not creating healthy, happy smiles, Dr. Karras enjoys traveling, amateur photography, skiing, exploring Chicago’s food scene, and spending time with her “big fat Greek family.” She is fluent in English and Greek and speaks Spanish, as well.
Dr. Karras attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she was a member of both the Swimming and Diving and Track and Field teams while an undergraduate. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with high honors and her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with the highest distinction. Following dental school, she went on to Marquette University, where she earned a certificate and Master of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
A lifelong learner, Dr. Karras is passionate about keeping up with the latest advances in orthodontics and is proudly board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. In addition to regularly attending continuing education courses, her research has even been published in the world’s leading orthodontic journal, the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
